Carlos Prates heaped praise on Michael 'PQD' after the Rio de Janeiro native's UFC debut. One of the leading names of the new Brazilian generation in the organization, the athlete drew attention for his physique and the potential he displayed in the octagon.

In an interview with Laerte Viana's YouTube channel, 'Pesadelo' revealed that he hasn't yet had direct contact with his compatriot, but stated he was impressed by the fighter's strength and predicted difficulties for the Rio native's next opponents in the welterweight division (up to 77,1 kg). This comes after Michael's great performance in his debut at the first event in August.

“I never talked to him, but from what I see, he’s a cool kid, has a cool story, and the guy is strong. Did you see the size of that guy, bro? That’s trouble,” said Carlos Prates.

Michael PQD made his debut in Belgrade and lived up to expectations. The Rio de Janeiro native needed only one round to knock out Oban Elliott and secure his first victory in the world's largest MMA organization.

The result also kept the Brazilian undefeated, now with ten wins on his record. At 28 years old, Michael arrived at the UFC after building his career balancing training with military life. The fighter joined the Army in 2017 and divided his routine for eight years between his profession and preparing for fights.
