Just days before stepping into the octagon to defend her strawweight belt (up to 52,1 kg) for the first time, Mackenzie Dern has the opportunity to stand out as one of the main names in all of Brazilian MMA if she remains the country's only champion this Saturday (15). However, before facing Canadian Gillian Robertson in the co-main event of UFC 330 , the jiu-jitsu black belt starred in a comical video published on YouTube by 'Full Violence' last Wednesday (5).
The video employed a dynamic already established in the audiovisual field, but in a very funny way. In it, several sports fans are asked about women's MMA and their opinions on Mackenzie Dern and her future as champion of the category previously dominated by the Chinese fighter Weili Zhang . In the midst of the answers, the fighter herself appears and introduces herself to the interviewees, creating a relaxed and sometimes disconcerting situation.

Before coming face to face with the champion, one of the fans even said that a large part of the women's weight classes should be eliminated. When questioned about the clash of styles between the Brazilian and Zhang in a hypothetical confrontation, all those interviewed said they saw the Chinese fighter as the favorite, who vacated the title to compete with Valentina Shevchenko in the flyweight division (up to 56,7 kg).
