Chael Sonnen believes that fans remain interested in Alex Poatan 's next move , even after his loss at UFC Casa Branca . Knocked out by Ciryl Gane in his heavyweight debut (up to 120,2 kg), the Brazilian still sees promising opportunities in the new division, at least according to the former fighter and current commentator.
In a video posted to his YouTube channel, Sonnen stated that he is especially curious to find out what Poatan's next move will be in the UFC. According to him, there are several possible names for the Brazilian, which increases the anticipation surrounding the announcement.

“I’m so curious (about Poatan’s next move). I can’t wait for Alex’s next fight announcement. By the way, he has several names on the table. I mean, it could be anything, including Hokit. He and Hokit have a real rivalry that was starting… There’s Volkov who is a very interesting striker. Sergei Pavlovich who is a very interesting striker,” said Chael Sonnen.

Although they have yet to share the octagon, Alex Poatan and Josh Hokit are already fueling one of the most talked-about rivalries in the UFC today. After the Brazilian announced his move up to heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg), the American stated that a potential fight would be easy, claiming that the former champion had never faced an opponent of similar caliber.
Josh Hokit 's provocations weren't limited to the sporting aspect and also extended to the personal realm. During the press conference promoting UFC Casa Branca , the fighter criticized the Brazilian for not communicating in English and even made a provocative reference to Poatan's catchphrase "Chama" (Flame). He also insulted Alex's hand on more than one occasion.
