Carlos Diego Ferreira ignored his advanced age to compete and left UFC Vegas 120 with his pockets full. In the co-main event held this Saturday (8), the 42-year-old Brazilian impressed in the octagon against Billy Quarantillo and beat him by unanimous decision. Because of the fight, the athlete, as well as the American, won the 'Fight of the Night' bonus.

The organization announced the awards shortly after the event. Therefore, Carlos Diego Ferreira and Quarantillo each took home a check for $100 (approximately R$ 509 at the current exchange rate). The duel between the lightweight fighters (up to 70,3 kg) was exciting. The Brazilian and the American alternated good moments, but the former had greater dominance. At the end of the 15 minutes of action, 'CDF' was superior in all three rounds according to the trio of judges.

Quillan Salkilld and Ty Miller were also honored by the UFC, but with the 'Performance of the Night' bonus. In the main event, Salkilld lived up to expectations and easily defeated Mateusz Gamrot . The sensation of the lightweight division, the Australian finished the Pole with ease in the first round.

In turn, Miller did what he wanted with Billy Ray Goff . The American gave his compatriot no chance and knocked him out in the third round . Thus, the athlete remains undefeated in MMA and is growing in the welterweight division (up to 77,1 kg).

Other bonuses

Because they won via the fast track, Diyar Nurgozhay , José Luiz Montanha, Juliana Miller , Miles Johns , and Yadier del Valle earned a bonus of $25 (approximately R$128 at the current exchange rate).

Nurgozhay knocked out Bruno Lopes in the first round, Montanha submitted Louie Sutherland in the first round, Juliana submitted Ravena Oliveira in the second round, Johns knocked out Gianni Vázquez in the first round, and Del Valle knocked out Darren Elkins in the first round.
