The first Brazilian to perform at UFC Vegas 120 , Manoel Manumito put on a show and beat Richie Miranda by unanimous decision in the fourth fight of the night, in a duel valid for the lightweight category (up to 70,3 kg) this Saturday (8). With the result, the Ceará native reached his second consecutive victory in the Ultimate, in addition to having achieved his sixteenth victory as a professional athlete.

Manoel Manumito pressured his opponent from the very first minute.
The Brazilian dominated the center of the octagon from the start, landing kicks to Miranda's inside lead leg, taking advantage of their opposing stances. They both clinched against the cage, with Manumito locking down his opponent and landing good knee strikes to the midsection. Cornered, the American went for a takedown and managed to transition to his opponent's back, landing punches and attempting a rear-naked choke. Manoel remained calm, escaping the position and transitioning to half guard, but finished the round at a disadvantage.
Manumito continued to punish his opponent with leg kicks, forcing Miranda to switch stances at times. The Brazilian trapped his rival against the cage and landed powerful punches, clearly hurting the American. However, the best moment came next. Manumito landed a powerful right straight followed by a body punch that took his opponent to the ground. Very resilient, Miranda resisted and attempted a takedown, only for both to return to their feet, giving the Brazilian the opportunity to maintain the offensive until the end of the second round.

Manoel returned for the third round as the aggressor, trying to corner his rival against the cage and attack with strong punches. In contrast, Miranda managed to hold the Brazilian for a brief moment, but was forced to back down and suffer from Manumito's momentum, who punished him both at long range and in the clinch. The American even attempted a takedown in the final part of the fight, but failed, and both reached the end of regulation time.
After 15 minutes of combat, all judges scored it 29-28 in favor of Manoel Manumito , who said he was very happy with the result and also took the opportunity to challenge veteran Drew Dobber to his next fight.

In the third fight of the night, Miles Johns put on a show and defeated Gianni Vazquez by knockout in the first round, in a bout valid for the featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg). Originally scheduled to face Jessie Rosas, the veteran had no trouble defeating the Mexican, who accepted the fight with only ten days' notice. This was Johns' first victory in two years, and the first to knock out Vazquez.
Physically very strong, Johns engaged in open exchanges at close range from the start of the fight, clearly causing discomfort to his opponent. He was eventually stunned by a cross behind the ear, but countered well and ended up knocking out his opponent by connecting with a left hook followed by good ground and pound attacks, forcing the referee to stop the fight at three minutes and nine seconds.
