Known for his striking skills, Mauricio Ruffy already has the ideal strategy in mind to win his next fight in the octagon. Last Wednesday (5), the Brazilian was scheduled to face Arman Tsarukyan in the co-main event of UFC 331, a show scheduled to take place on September 19th in California (USA). Furthermore, the athlete exudes confidence to face the feared Armenian.

On his official Instagram account, an excited Ruffy stated that he will not deny his strengths in the biggest fight of his career. And, increasingly proficient in striking and aware of his high level, the Brazilian promised to knock out Tsarukyan, ranked second in the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg).

It's quite true that Ruffy's task won't be easy, since the Armenian has been at the top of the category for years and is a wrestling specialist. Precisely because Tsarukyan has a high level in grappling, an area in which he had problems and was exposed by Benoit Saint Denis , the Brazilian decided to take a drastic measure in search of focus to evolve in the sector, which goes beyond the help of Alexander Volkanovski , king of the featherweight division (up to 65,8 kg) and his training partner.

“I'm counting on everyone's prayers. I'm going to give my best, as always. I'm going for the knockout . I don't want to leave the octagon without that result . If it doesn't happen that way, so be it, but I'm 100% committed to it ,” said the athlete.

“I’m going on a trip. I’m going to Australia to do the whole training camp there. I’ll be offline, I won’t be responding much here. I’ll just be focused on training, no interviews, not much communication, just focused on training ,” he concluded.
