The Ultimate middleweight category has a new champion since Saturday night (12), when Luke Rockhold hit Chris Weidman and won the title in the co-main fight of UFC 194. However, he has barely enjoyed the taste of being the king of the 84 kg division and Rockhold is already dealing with the challenges, starting with the only athlete to beat him in the UFC: the Brazilian Vitor belfort.

“Belfort vs Rockhold 2. Face it, Luke Rockhold? I’m ready!”, wrote the Brazilian on social media, along with a photo of the spinning kick he applied to Rockhold and which declared his triumph at UFC Jaraguá do Sul.

Vitor's words quickly reached Rockhold, who did not hesitate and was willing to have the Brazilian as his first challenger. “What would I like? Vitor belfort, your head on the platter, would be wonderful. Come on, Dana White! I want to correct my mistake”, said the new champion, in an interview with the North American channel “FOX Sports 1″, drawing laughter from the commentators Daniel Cormier, Michael Bisping and Brian Stann.

Despite Rockhold's desire, however, the tendency is for the next challenger for the title to be the Cuban Yoel romero, who won the title tie against Ronaldo Jacare, also at UFC 194. However, when asked about a possible confirmation of the duel during the press conference after the event, UFC vice president of marketing Dave Sholler said that the confrontation has not yet been made official.
