Jake Paul and Josh Hokit heated things up on social media after an unexpected argument involving American football and boxing. Confident in his physical conditioning and boxing career, the former YouTuber provoked NFL players by stating that the sport was more accessible than boxing. This statement bothered the outspoken former NFL player and current UFC heavyweight fighter (up to 120,2 kg), who responded to the comment and even suggested a fight against the influencer.

The exchange of barbs began after Jake Paul posted a message on his 'X' profile, in which he questioned the ability of American football players inside a boxing ring. The American stated that no NFL athlete could last two rounds against a professional boxer, while he himself, in his view, would be able to play American football without prior training.

“No NFL player could last 2 rounds in a professional boxing ring. Meanwhile, I could catch a touchdown pass tomorrow in the NFL without any practice,” wrote Jake Paul.

Josh Hokit didn't let the provocation go unanswered and confidently responded to Jake Paul 's challenge. The former NFL player stated that he believes he is superior to the influencer not only in a boxing match, but also in any other sport.

"With all due respect, Jake Paul ... Not only could I beat you in a boxing match, I'd beat you in any sport under the sun," replied Josh Hokit.

Following that, Jake Paul maintained his provocative tone and acknowledged Hokit's efforts in promoting his career, but reiterated that he would be willing to face him. The boxing star even challenged the UFC heavyweight to a possible confrontation in Puerto Rico, guaranteeing that he could overcome the former NFL athlete.

"I see your effort. You do your best to sell. If you want to go down to Puerto Rico and box, I'll gladly embarrass you anytime," the former YouTuber concluded.
