UFC Legend Appeals to Dana White and Asks for Immediate Signing of Khabib's Cousin

Former UFC flyweight champion (up to 56,7 kg), Demetrious Johnson , believes that the organization cannot let the opportunity to sign Usman Nurmagomedov slip away . After the Russian ended his contract with the PFL in style, by knocking out Archie Colgan in the first round of the main event held in New York last Friday (30), 'Mighty Mouse' stated that Dana White should make the necessary investment to bring Khabib's cousin.

On his YouTube channel, Johnson stated that he would pay the asking price for the undefeated lightweight (up to 70,3 kg) to lure him away from the new partnership between PFL and Most Valuable Promotions (MVP). In the former champion's view, in addition to strengthening one of the UFC's most competitive weight classes, the signing would also weaken one of the rival organization's main stars.

“If I were Dana, I would pay the amount Usman Nurmagomedov is asking. To get him out of the new PFL regime and MVP. That way, you would steal one of the biggest stars from that organization,” said Demetrious.

In the former champion's view, Usman has all the credentials to become an immediate success. Undefeated in his professional career, the Russian is considered one of the best lightweights outside the organization. A member of the team led by Khabib Nurmagomedov , he built his career by dominating opponents and is now at the peak of his career.

Now that his contract has ended, the athlete's future remains uncertain. Although there has been no official announcement about his next destination, the UFC appears to be the leading candidate to sign the Russian. Khabib's recent statements, confirming that negotiations will take place , have further increased fans' anticipation to see the undefeated champion test his skills against the elite of the division.
