UFC double champion Alex Poatan has already defined his next steps within the organization. Present in Belgrade for the event last Saturday (1st), the Brazilian participated in a question and answer session promoted by the Ultimate on Friday (30) and revealed that he intends to return to the octagon before the fight between Tom Aspinall and Ciryl Gane , still without a date set, which should define the next heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg).

Even without a defined opponent for his return, Poatan made it clear that he intends to remain active before seeking another title shot in the division. The Brazilian believes that a victory in his next fight could put him back in the title race and bring him closer to his goal of winning a third UFC title.

"I definitely want to fight before (Aspinall vs Gane), and after that I definitely want to fight for the title," Poatan stated.

After his loss to Ciryl Gane at UFC Casa Branca in June, Alex Poatan reiterated that he still aims to win the third belt of his career in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The São Paulo native, who has already been champion in the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg) and the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg), seeks to make history as the first athlete in the organization to win titles in three different weight classes.
