What seemed to be a great night for Vlasto Cepo turned into a nightmare in a matter of seconds. The Serbian entered the action in the opening fight of the main card of UFC Belgrade , held this Saturday (1), but was knocked out by Gilbert Urbina after accepting a frank exchange right at the beginning of the fight.

With 14 career wins, 10 by knockout and four by submission, all in the first round, Cepo entered the octagon buoyed by the local crowd. Responding to the support, the fighter went on the offensive from the very first moments and landed some good strikes.

However, early in the fight, the Serbian showed signs of fatigue, slowed down, and was eventually surprised. Urbina took advantage of the opening and landed a counter jab, which knocked Cepo down. Following that, the American finished the fight with a powerful ground and pound.
