Alexandre Pantoja will have the opportunity to prove that the defeat that cost him the UFC flyweight title (up to 56,7 kg) was just a blip. After suffering a fall and injuring his elbow in the fight against Joshua Van at UFC 323, held in December 2025, the Brazilian was ultimately defeated and saw his title taken by the Burmese prospect.

Now, the former champion will have the chance to redeem himself in the rematch, which is scheduled to take place at UFC 331 on September 18th.
The information was released by journalist Leo Guimarães, who also confirmed the fight between Charles do Bronx and Arman Tsarukyan at the same event.

Although fans and experts have questioned the merits of the title won by Joshua Van – who inherited the belt after Alexandre Pantoja 's injury – the Burmese fighter gave a convincing answer inside the octagon.
In his title defense against Tatsuro Taira at UFC 328 , Van faced difficulties against the Japanese fighter's strong grappling game. Even so, he showed resilience and relied on his sharp boxing to turn the tide of the fight.
In the fifth round, the champion found the right moment and knocked out his opponent, consolidating his position in the division and silencing some of the critics.
