Khamzat Chimaev Loses His Temper With Strickland After Provocations: 'Coward'

Khamzat Chimaev did not hide his irritation with Sean Strickland 's recent provocations . Defeated by the American in the main event of UFC 328 in May, the Chechen lost his undefeated record and also the middleweight title (up to 83,9 kg). After the setback, members of his team attributed his underwhelming performance to the tough weight cut, a justification that ended up being mocked by his rival.

In response, Chimaev used social media to rebut Strickland's statements. The Wolf adopted an aggressive tone, calling his opponent a coward and stating that, in a possible rematch, he expects an apology. "This coward started talking again. When you see me again, apologize. You're good at that. The most important thing is not to cry like a little girl next time," Chimaev wrote.
