Jamahal Hill is determined to move up to the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg), but his current physique has become the target of jokes among fans and even commentators. Without a win since January 2023, when he defeated Glover Teixeira and won the light heavyweight title (up to 93 kg), the former champion announced his intention to venture into the UFC's heavier division , but the physical transformation for this new phase has raised questions, as his physique is far from the expected athletic standard.
The topic gained traction during an episode of the show 'Deep Waters', when Chris Weidman and Dustin Poirier casually discussed the lack of depth in the heavyweight division and took the opportunity to joke about Hill's current form.

"I lied, I said 17 (heavyweights on the UFC roster), but there must be around 30," said Chris Weidman.
"And Jamahal Hill counts as two of them," Poirier mocked.
“I see Jamahal very often, he’ll come after me. He’ll say I told him he looks pregnant or something… I love Jamahal. He even jokes about it himself, so it’s all good,” Weidman concluded amidst laughter.

Signed by the UFC after standing out in the Contender Series, Jamahal Hill began his journey in the organization with a great impact. The American accumulated five wins, four by knockout, and only one loss in his first fights. His performance led him to a title fight against Glover Teixeira , in which he defeated the Brazilian by unanimous decision and won the light heavyweight title (up to 93kg).
However, months after winning the title, Hill had to relinquish the belt after suffering an Achilles tendon injury. Upon his return at UFC 300 , he attempted to regain the title but was brutally knocked out by Alex Poatan . Since then, his losing streak has intensified: Hill returned to the octagon on two more occasions, being knocked out by Jiri Prochazka and dominated by Khalil Rountree , accumulating three consecutive defeats.
