PFL champion reveals that Khabib Nurmagomedov is still the 'most dominant' fighter in training.

Even retired since 2020, Khabib Nurmagomedov continues to impress within the academy. According to Usman Nurmagomedov , PFL champion and undefeated with 21 wins in professional MMA, the former UFC champion is still the most dominant fighter in the team's training sessions. The Russian revealed the information before his return this Friday (31), in New York, against Archie Colgan, in search of another step to consolidate his own legacy in the sport.

In response to the Home of Fight page, Usman stated that Khabib is still the main reference within the academy and continues to show the same intensity in training that made him one of the most dominant fighters in MMA history. According to the lightweight (up to 70,3kg), even after ending his professional career, his coach continues to be an example for the team's athletes and maintains a level of performance above his other training partners.

"Khabib is still the most dominant in academia," declared Usman Nurmagomedov.

At 28 years old, Usman seeks to build his own legacy. The PFL lightweight champion, the Russian maintains his undefeated record and accumulates performances that place him among the most promising athletes in the world in his category.

Khabib, for his part, ended his career in 2020 after defending the UFC lightweight title, and since then has dedicated his time to training new talent. Even away from competition, the former champion's presence remains one of the pillars of the team, with names like Islam Makhachev and Umar Nurmagomedov.
