While Jon Jones is an MMA legend who impresses with every fight, it's no secret that he has amassed enemies , who now extend beyond the octagon. Having not fought since 2024, when he knocked out Stipe Miocic in the third round in New York (USA), the greatest and best fighter in the sport's history has been reminiscing about moments from his glorious career and revealed a controversial episode with Lewis Hamilton, the Formula 1 star.

In an interview with the YouTube channel 'ALF Global', Jones opened up and revealed that the motorsport legend not only insulted him but also blocked him on social media. And what led Hamilton to adopt such a stance? An old video posted by 'Bones', in which he shot and killed a pig during a hunt.

It's worth noting that one of the UFC star's hobbies is shooting. Furthermore, the Briton is vegan, having changed his eating habits for health reasons, animal protection, and environmental preservation. Therefore, Jones, surprised by Hamilton's hostility, apologized for publicly hurting him, as he is unable to send him messages.

“Years ago, I went hunting with a group of army rangers and we ended up hunting pigs from a helicopter, using AR-15 rifles. I was very proud of myself because I killed one of the pigs while in the helicopter . My pig was donated to a needy family in the community,” said the MMA legend.

“ But Lewis saw me shoot the pig from a helicopter and wrote me a huge message saying I was a coward and that he thought I was better than that . He said the traditional way to kill animals should be with a spear or bow and arrow.”

“He was saying that only a coward would shoot an animal from a helicopter, to give the animal at least a chance to fight back. He unfollowed me and blocked me . It sucked, because I was a fan of his. He was very disappointed that I shot the pig . So, Lewis, I’m sorry, brother . I’m so sorry . I won’t do it again ,” he concluded.
