Coming off a big win against Max Holloway in the main event of UFC 326, Charles do Bronx has made it clear on several occasions that he aims to face Justin Gaethje for the undisputed lightweight title (up to 70,3 kg). However, it seems that the "Blamed Lion" will still need to get past one more opponent to finally fight for the belt. In a post on X (formerly Twitter) last Monday (27), journalist Manouk Akopyan said that the Brazilian is in negotiations to face Arman Tsarukyan for the second time.

According to the journalist, the rematch between the two should take place in September of this year in Los Angeles, as part of the UFC 331 card. So far, the presence of Brazilians such as Patrício Pitbull , Ryan Gandra , and Renato Moicano is being speculated at the event.

“I have been informed that the rematch between lightweights Arman Tsarukyan and Charles Oliveira has been confirmed for UFC 331 on September 19 at Crypto Arena in Los Angeles, according to multiple sources briefed on the deal. An official announcement revealing the fight card, as well as ticket information for the event, will be made by the UFC,” he stated.

Two of the top names in the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg), Arman Tsarukyan and Charles Oliveira, faced off at the legendary UFC 300. After three very close rounds, the Armenian was declared the winner by split decision. The victory earned him the right to fight for the belt against Islam Makhachev , but he ended up getting injured just hours before the fight.
