Ramazan Temirov started the fight at an intense pace. After landing a powerful spinning kick to the midsection, he pressured Steve Erceg from the opening seconds. The Australian responded with a takedown, but couldn't keep his opponent on the ground. Erceg then tried to find his range with his boxing, while Temirov remained dangerous, connecting with powerful crosses and hard kicks.

In the final stretch of the first round, Temirov found the decisive moment. The Uzbek landed a heavy punch that knocked Erceg down and, immediately afterwards, delivered a second knockdown. Despite resisting the initial attacks, the former title challenger against Alexandre Pantoja couldn't recover. Temirov maintained the pressure, connected with the final blow, and achieved an impressive knockout in the first round.
