Valter Walker once again showed why he is one of the greatest leg lock specialists in current MMA. In a fight valid for the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg), at UFC Abu Dhabi , held on Saturday afternoon (25), at the Etihad Arena. The Brazilian needed only a few seconds to finish Thomas Petersen with a calf lock, achieving his fifth consecutive submission in the organization and maintaining his excellent form in the organization.

Right at the start of the fight, Valter closed the distance looking for the clinch. Petersen tried to impose his wrestling and initiated a takedown attempt, but the Brazilian showed composure in his defense. Taking advantage of the American's movement on the ground, Walker pulled his opponent into his comfort zone, quickly locked in a calf lock and forced the three taps, ending the fight in a lightning-fast manner.

The victory represents the Brazilian's fifth consecutive submission win inside the octagon. In total, Valter has six UFC appearances, with five wins, all achieved by stoppage.

At 28 years old, Walker continues to draw attention for his confidence in his ground game. Even using a technique considered risky and requiring extreme precision, the Brazilian has transformed leg locks into his main trademark.
