Held in the early hours of this Friday (24), the official weigh-in for UFC Abu Dhabi was not as quick as those of previous events. In any case, the main fighters of the attraction did not disappoint on the scales. The protagonists of the show that takes place this Saturday (25), Magomed Ankalaev , former light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg), and Bogdan Guskov fulfilled their pre-fight obligations and are officially in the octagon. Represented by four professionals, the 'Brazilian Squad' also did well at the ceremony.
Seeking recovery, Ankalaev didn't take long to appear at the weigh-in. Stepping onto the scale, the Russian looked incredibly healthy, weighing in at 93,2 kg. Guskov, who dreams of breaking into the top 5 of the light heavyweight division, weighed in at the same weight as his opponent and also showed he was in good physical condition. It's worth noting that the Kazakh fighter accepted this important fight, the biggest of his career, at the last minute, replacing the injured Khalil Rountree.

The only Brazilian on the main card, Wellington Turman showed professionalism. Despite not having fought since 2023, the Brazilian weighed in at 77,1 kg, staying within the welterweight limit. With three consecutive losses, he is a huge underdog against the promising knockout artist Islam Dulatov.
In the preliminary card, the giant Valter Walker had no problem making weight (up to 120,2 kg). The Brazilian, riding a four-fight first-round submission streak, weighed in at 112,4 kg. At UFC Abu Dhabi , the bad boy will face the hardworking Thomas Petersen.
It's no secret that Ismael Marreta usually struggles to make weight, but this time he didn't fail. The Brazilian, who lost two consecutive fights, weighed in at 70,5 kg and is cleared to compete in the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg) against Axel Sola (70,5 kg). Only a victory will do for Gabriel Marretinha 's brother.
Brendson Ribeiro also showed seriousness before the fight. In the light heavyweight division, the Brazilian weighed in at 93,4 kg. At the event, the athlete faces the promising Magomed Tuchalov , undefeated in MMA, and is in a dramatic situation in the UFC. With three consecutive losses, 'The Gorilla' is at serious risk of being cut from the UFC if he suffers another defeat.
