Now a member of the UFC's heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg), Alex Poatan has gone from hunter to hunted. In June, in Washington (USA), the Brazilian debuted in the category, was brutally knocked out by Ciryl Gane in the second round, and thus entered the radar of other fighters. So much so that Rizvan Kuniev is keeping an eye on the former light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg).
In an interview with 'Red Corner MMA', the giant Russian, 1,93m and 120kg, made no secret of his intentions and, in his quest to reach the top of the heavyweight division, stated that he would like to face Poatan soon. It is true that, before that, Kuniev needs to get past Tyrell Fortune at UFC Abu Dhabi , an event that takes place this Saturday (25). In any case, the executioner of Jailton Malhadinho , who is seventh in the category ranking, shows confidence and guarantees that he is ready to star in important fights against the main names.

“I think if I win now, I’ll move up one or two positions. Then I’ll ask for a fight against him or whoever is at the top, anyone. It could be top-5, top-3, top-2. I’ve never refused fights, no matter who the UFC offered me,” said the fighter.
“I’ve always accepted it and I believe it’s a great opportunity for me. Of course, preferably fights against Hokit. I can fight Acosta, Pavlovich, Alex, whoever the UFC gives me. I’m ready to fight everyone,” he concluded.
