Alex Poatan is unstoppable on social media and now he hasn't spared an old acquaintance. Recovering from the brutal knockout suffered against Ciryl Gane in June in Washington (USA), the Brazilian has once again intensified the rivalry with Magomed Ankalaev , who performs this Saturday (25), in the main fight of UFC Abu Dhabi (UAE), resorting to mockery.
Recently, the Russian, defeated by Poatan in his last appearance in the octagon in October, classified the result as an accident, his victory in the first fight, which took place in March 2025, as a domination, and asked the UFC to hold the trilogy soon. Upon learning of his rival's position, the Brazilian laughed and made a point of reminding everyone of his superiority in the immediate rematch. On that occasion, the Brazilian, irritated with Ankalaev, promised to punish him and, in fact, knocked him out in just over a minute of fighting.

In the UFC since 2021, Alex Poatan has experienced a meteoric rise in MMA, shining in the octagon and becoming one of the biggest stars. The Brazilian was champion in the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg) and the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg), defeating big names in the sport such as Israel Adesanya , Jamahal Hill , Jan Błachowicz, Jiri Prochazka (twice), Khalil Rountree Jr., Magomed Ankalaev , and Sean Strickland.
