Former UFC fighter Claudio Ribeiro has joined the long list of fighters with serious problems with the police . The middleweight (up to 83,9 kg), who was on a good winning streak in Karate Combat, was arrested on Wednesday (22) for domestic violence, in the interior of São Paulo.
According to an article published by Metrópoles, the fighter was involved in an argument with his wife that ended in physical aggression, resulting in an injury to the victim's nose. Claudio was arrested by military police officers from the 49th Battalion of the Military Police of the Interior, in the Jardim Itália neighborhood.
The assault was confirmed by the fighter himself.
The victim told police that he was punched in the face, information that, according to the Military Police, was confirmed by the fighter himself.

Claudio's wife was taken to the Emergency Care Unit (UPA) in Várzea Paulista, where she underwent medical examinations. After a CT scan, a fracture in her nose was diagnosed. She received treatment and was subsequently released.

With 13 wins and six losses in his career, Claudio Ribeiro has not been successful in the UFC. Signed through the Contender Series, the Brazilian won only one of the four fights he competed in, accumulating three knockout losses.
After being fired, the fighter found his way back to victory in Karate Combat, where he achieved three wins, all by knockout.
