Bold prediction! Impressed, Hall of Famer points to future UFC star: 'Phenomenal'

Just like in his heyday as a fighter, Michael Bisping has been successful working as a commentator. Always attentive to what happens in combat sports, the UFC Hall of Famer watched UFC Oklahoma City, an event held last Saturday (18), and was impressed by one athlete in particular.

On his official YouTube channel, Bisping made a point of praising Tommy McMillen , considered by many to be a great prospect in MMA. At the event, the American put on a war against Alberto Montes , knocking him out in the third round and earning one of the 'Performance of the Night' bonuses.

Besides his exciting style, the bad boy is a friend and training partner of Sean O'Malley, is undefeated in MMA, and has proclaimed himself the third Diaz brother. Because of this overall package, the MMA legend sees McMillen as a future UFC star and implies that he will soon leave behind his "promising" status.

“This guy won in the third round, and in spectacular fashion. Wow! The guy is unstoppable. He was phenomenal. He just went for it from start to finish, exactly like in the previous fight. McMillen is the man. Holy shit! This guy is going to be a huge star,” said the MMA legend.

"He talks a lot of nonsense, then goes on the offensive exchanging punches like a complete maniac, takes a few hits, but doesn't care about anything and manages to get the knockout in the third round. The crowd went wild," he concluded.

Tommy McMillen , 28, is a promising MMA fighter who competes in the featherweight division (up to 65,8 kg). The American began his career in the sport in 2019, was revealed by the Contender Series program in 2025, and debuted in the UFC in 2026. In the sport, 'Gun' has built a perfect record of 11 wins, ten of which were by stoppage (five by knockout and five by submission).
