Paulo Borrachinha didn't even need to fight in the UFC last Saturday (18) to get in the spotlight, but his latest public appearance may displease Dana White. This is because, on the same day, the Brazilian attended the boxing event promoted by 'Matchroom ', in California (USA), and got close to Eddie Hearn, one of the main promoters of the traditional sport and a declared enemy of his boss's leader.
In an interview with 'M anocombatsports', Borrachinha, who watched the fights alongside Hearn and also posed for photos with him, praised him. When asked if the meeting with the businessman could be the beginning of a professional partnership, the Brazilian dodged the question. Curiously, the 'meeting' took place shortly after Dana White positioned the athlete well to compete for the interim light heavyweight title (up to 93 kg).

It's worth noting that the UFC leaders had a good relationship, but everything changed when the UFC leader created Zuffa Boxing and fully immersed himself in the sport. Hearn began criticizing the American and then saw him 'steal' Conor Benn, one of his stars. In response, the Englishman announced that Tom Aspinall and Ian Garry had signed with his ' Matchroom Talent Agency', a career management company. Therefore, since Borrachinha is popular and has a troubled relationship with the league, he may have come onto Eddie's radar.
“I love boxing. I’ve always loved boxing, watching it, training, I like using my hands in fights. I’m a boxing fan and Eddie Herarn invited us. So, it’s a pleasure to be here. We just met. The conversation was incredible. He’s a very smart, intelligent guy, he’s been in this business for a long time and he’s also very successful,” the bad boy told the Instagram profile.
“He’s not just a part of it, he’s here to change the fight business. I’m also a fan of his, of what he’s been doing, transforming fighters into big stars like Joshua, Canelo. He’s special. And when he started working with MMA fighters, it caught my attention,” he concluded.
