Dricus du Plessis showed that he is more alive than ever in the fight for the top of the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg). This Saturday (18), in the main fight of UFC Oklahoma City, the South African convinced by dominating Kamaru Usman , former king of the welterweight division (up to 77,1 kg). During the 25 minutes of action, the athlete punished the Nigerian and won by unanimous decision.

Du Plessis' superiority was evident from the very first round. In fact, the subsequent rounds followed the same pattern. Displaying power and technique in his striking, the South African relentlessly punished Usman with his straight punches and kicks. The Nigerian was visibly bothered by his opponent's attacks and was shaken more than once.

Usman's best round was the third, but nothing that put Du Plessis in trouble. With the victory, the South African recovered in the best possible way in the UFC and dreams of competing again for the middleweight belt, whose owner is no longer Khamzat Chimaev , who defeated him, but Sean Strickland , a professional who has won twice.
