In the post- UFC 329 press conference , Dana White reported that McGregor had a ruptured ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament), whose function is to stabilize the knee. Furthermore, this wasn't the first time McGregor signaled that his historic journey in the UFC is nearing its end. And the Irishman's statement is a kind of response to many fans who called for his retirement, and also to the UFC president, since he remained secretive about his future in MMA.

“My faith is unconditional and I am grateful to be able to prove it! My lifestyle changes are permanent and not just temporary. I am grateful to be able to prove this. I am in 'Sin City' (Las Vegas) and I remain completely free from all sin. I will not open that door or break the seal! I'm back to collecting victories! In the name of Jesus, I pray!”, wrote the former UFC champion.

"Today's service was intense, my heart is heavy, but through Christ, my mind is strong! I am so grateful to see my family falling more in love with God every day! I am a child of God. I am a friend of God. God opens a way for me where there seems to be no way out. I am not a victim of my circumstances, I overcome them."
