Paddy Pimblett took advantage of his great moment at UFC 329 to target one of the biggest names in the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg). After finishing Benoit Saint Denis in the first round, last Saturday (11), in Las Vegas (USA), the Briton challenged Charles do Bronx and stated that he believes he is capable of overcoming the Brazilian even in his greatest specialty.
In addition to the dominant victory, Pimblett received the 'Performance of the Night' bonus, solidifying his performance as one of the best of the event. Emboldened by the result, 'The Baddy' wasted no time in pointing to the current BMF champion as a possible opponent for his next fight in the octagon. During the post-event press conference, the lightweight praised Charles' career but expressed confidence in a potential confrontation between the two.

“I would submit Charles. I have the utmost respect for him. He’s a legend in the sport, but he’s retiring. If he tries to grab me, I’ll submit him,” the Englishman stated.
The statement is noteworthy because Charles Oliveira holds the record for submissions in UFC history and is widely recognized as one of the most dangerous ground fighters in the organization's history. Even so, Pimblett believes his jiu-jitsu is enough to give him an advantage should the fight be scheduled.
With his victory over Saint Denis, the Briton remains among the top names in the category and reinforces his candidacy to face a high-ranking opponent. Charles, the current BMF champion and former holder of the undisputed lightweight title, continues to be one of the most prestigious fighters in the division, making a possible duel against 'The Baddy' one of the most interesting fights the event can promote in the lightweight division.
