As expected, Conor McGregor was the highlight of the UFC 329 pre-press conference and showed that he's not rusty at all. At the ceremony held last Thursday (9), in Las Vegas (USA), the Irish star, who hasn't fought since 2021, shone with the microphone in hand, leaving Max Holloway , his opponent in the main fight, in an uncomfortable position. 'Notorious' was so comfortable on stage that he even sang.
When called to the press conference, McGregor was cheered by the fans. Visibly excited, the Irishman exuded confidence for the rematch, promising to put on a show against 'Blessed' and that he will retire him.
Not satisfied, 'Notorious' countered Holloway's statements and argued with him more than once. Happy to be back and receive the affection of his loyal fans, the MMA star surprised everyone by simply singing the song 'Wonderwall' by the band Oasis.

Conor McGregor : “He’s not going to face an Ortega or a featherweight. I’m a different animal. So, good luck with that, Holloway. It’s not going to happen.”
Max Holloway : “I can’t wait. I see he has two belts. I think he’ll be fighting for belts on Saturday. So, I can’t wait to take those beautiful belts out of his hands.”
McGregor: “You didn’t touch me last time, and you won’t lay a finger on me this time. This is a different animal coming back. I have a lot to prove here. And who am I proving it to? Myself. So, you’re in a tough spot.”
Holloway: “I hit your face quite a bit last time. I knocked you down with a high kick.”
McGregor: “These belts represent all the records in the fighting business. I have them all. So, it’s an honor to own these belts. And for sure, champion OG will go for the triple crown. It seems like history to me.”

McGregor: “I found it disrespectful. It shows he’s here for the money. He probably has no idea of the danger he’s in. I predict Holloway will retire on Saturday. No trilogy for the money.”
Holloway: "I hope he knows how to swim. I'm going to drown him."
McGregor: "You don't stand a chance."
Holloway: "Keep telling yourself that."
McGregor: "He doesn't stand a chance"
Holloway: “Keep telling yourself. We’ll find out on Saturday night. So that’s the most beautiful thing.”

McGregor: “I can destroy Holloway in ten seconds. I have three-second knockouts on my record. I’ve beaten Hall of Famers, several UFC Hall of Famers have been knocked out and destroyed together in under a minute. And I can add Holloway to that list. However, make no mistake. If we go into that deep water, Holloway will have a lot of trouble and suffer a serious concussion.”
Holloway: "What happened the first time?"
McGregor: “What happened the first time? You ended up in a wheelchair. That’s what happened the first time.”
Holloway: “You attempted the takedown. You said fights don’t even count if you don’t knock people out.”
McGregor: “You left the arena in Boston. We owe you in this octagon.”

Holloway: “I can’t wait. I think we’ll see the best McGregor on Saturday and I’m looking forward to it. It’s a great feeling. I can hear you all.”
McGregor: “You’re welcome. With love, from the Emerald Isle, Ireland. You’re welcome.”
Holloway: "Hey, thanks, McGregor"
McGregor: “Back to dust off those red panties. Honey, call their wives. My dear, we did it! McGregor is home.”
Holloway: "Take a step back and seek the fall"
McGregor: "That's the strategy (gesture calling his opponent to fight), my dear. Bring it on."

Holloway: “I’m telling you, it’s going to be a long night for McGregor on Saturday. We’re going into deep water.”
McGregor: "Mac can last all night, honey. That's what I'm here for."
Holloway: “Come on. He almost lost his temper. Calm down.”
