Most popular name in MMA history, Conor McGregor returns to the world's most famous octagon this Saturday (11) to measure forces with Max Holloway in the main fight of UFC 329However, it is not possible to mention the Irishman's return without remembering the various controversies in which the Notorious has been involved over the years, some with judicial implications, even. In this context, he was questioned about the civil conviction for rape that occurred in November 2024. The fighter spoke about the matter last Wednesday (9), during the 'media day' of the event next weekend.
Although he didn't go into details, he said he hadn't committed any crime and accused Nikita Hand of lying in the accusation. Furthermore, he also showed some expression of his faith during the argument.

According to the conviction, the crime occurred in 2018 at a hotel in Dublin. Because it was a civil case and not a criminal one, the Irishman was not imprisoned, but was ordered to pay €250 in damages (more than R$1,5 million at the current exchange rate). He attempted to appeal the decision the following year, but his wish was not granted.
