Earlier this week, Jean Silva He got involved in a rather unusual controversy. The UFC featherweight (up to 65,8 kg) top fighter, even admitting he doesn't know much about football, came to the defense of Neymar Jr., after Brazil was eliminated by Norway from the 2026 World Cup, in the match held last Sunday (5), in New Jersey (USA). By taking a stand and provoking the star's haters, the bad boy was criticized by YouTuber Igor Serafini and, without thinking twice, he retorted.
It all started when Jean praised Neymar, stating that he, now retired from international football, will be missed by the Brazilian National Team, and took a jab at those who criticize and diminish his achievements, asking, "What have you done?". Following this, the commentator disapproved of the UFC fighter's stance, emphasizing that fans have every right to be dissatisfied and demand more from the football genius, or any athlete.

Aware of the negative repercussions of his stance, the bad boy, through his official account on 'X', did not leave the YouTuber without a response. 'Lord' pointed out that he himself, like many others, distorted the meaning of his message, did not understand his point, and continued to praise Neymar.
"Completely out of context. My response was to people saying that Neymar 'never did anything' in my video praising Neymar, since my video was about his greatness within the Brazilian national team. The public can say what they want, but the 'didn't do anything' metric is totally wrong. If Neymar 'didn't do anything' for the national team, I want to know what they did if Neymar did nothing," wrote the bad boy.
