The former UFC champion has been making headlines for certain negative comments due to his actions and stances outside the octagon.

Alex Poatan was involved in yet another controversy last weekend. The Brazilian held a seminar in London (UK), but it seems the experience wasn't good for fans. Several reports on social media indicate that the former UFC champion refused to participate in a Q&A session, take photos, sign autographs, and even reduced the event's duration as stipulated in his contract. Upon learning of these accusations, Marcelo Brigadeiro did not forgive the athlete.

On his YouTube channel 'OSS', the former fighter and current coach and manager, who previously criticized Poatan for wanting to humiliate a YouTuber, criticized him again. Always outspoken, Brigadeiro disapproved of the renowned striker's behavior and stressed that he should rethink his conduct and attitudes.

It is quite true that the company 'Joyagear', responsible for organizing the Brazilian's seminar, issued a statement admitting that there were problems in its execution. In it, the company exonerated Poatan from any blame, explaining that he did what had been agreed upon and that he, unlike the public, was unaware of the extra activities. Even so, Brigadeiro, apparently, did not buy this justification, lamented what happened and, again, noted a lack of humility in the athlete.

"It's like this: everyone knows their own path. He thinks he's right, but life usually isn't very kind to those who mess with other people's heads. The point is to be considerate of people. People paid to be around you. There's no reason why you shouldn't be kind to people. I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be kind, unless a guy is a jerk to you, shows up and messes things up. Then it's okay," said the professional.

“Why can’t you be nice to people? There’s no reason. I think that’s really messed up. That’s one of the things that I think made me never idolize anyone. I never had an idol, because I think… you put a person on another level, as if they were more special than anyone else. Poatan isn’t better than anyone. The fact that he’s a great fighter, a champion, doesn’t make him better than anyone. He’s not better than the old man who sweeps the street here, you know? He’s a better fighter than the old man who sweeps the street here.”

“Now, is he a better human being? It keeps showing until it isn’t. I think that’s really messed up. There are people who are so poor, they only have money. That’s true. I want them to go to hell, you know? That’s why they get pissed off at me. I don’t pay homage to anyone. ‘Oh, I don’t know who’s a champion.’ Is he? He’s a jerk, so fuck him. I want him to go to hell. And then, ‘The Brigadier talks too much.’ That’s it, fuck him, you know? I want him to go to hell,” he concluded.
