The light heavyweight category (up to 93 kg) has a very promising and rapidly growing fighter. At UFC Baku , an event held last Saturday (27), Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev simply shone and did what he does best: win in a stunning way. The Turk knocked out Julius Walker in an incredible eight seconds. As could not be otherwise, the athlete, excited by his impressive start in the company, made a bold prediction.
In an interview published by the 'UFC News' profile on 'X', Yakhyaev guaranteed that he will break the record for the fastest knockout in UFC history in his next fight, which will be his fourth appearance in the octagon. In fact, the undefeated MMA fighter almost achieved the feat in Azerbaijan. The holder of that record is Jorge Masvidal , who brutally knocked out Ben Askren in five seconds in 2019.

With a victory achieved in eight seconds, Yakhyaev became the owner of the seventh fastest knockout in UFC history and the second fastest of all time in the light heavyweight division, behind only the late Ryan Jimmo. Accustomed to winning in the first round, 'The Hunter' has no doubt that he will overcome both the Canadian and the American.
“Next time, the fight will be shorter, so stay tuned. I think I’m ready for the top 10, top 5, it doesn’t matter. I’ll talk to my coach, my team, and let the UFC know,” said the UFC prospect.
Yakhyaev's fighters in MMA
Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev, 25, is one of the most promising fighters in MMA and is close to breaking into the UFC's top 15 light heavyweight division. The Russian-born Turk began his career in the sport in 2021 and debuted in the organization in 2025. In the sport, he has built a record of ten wins, nine of which were by stoppage (five by submission and four by knockout).
