"Officially retired from MMA. Everything has a beginning, a middle, and an end. Yesterday was the last time I competed in MMA, ending a journey of almost 13 years as a professional athlete, with the opportunity to fight in the biggest events in the world. I am grateful for everything this sport gave me, for the doors it opened, and for all the places it took me," wrote the former fighter.
“I gave my best to help women's MMA grow, even knowing that, at times, my best may not have been enough. I hope I contributed to the new generation finding more opportunities. And, above all, that the girls who are starting out understand that they don't need to give up their values to become champions.”
“Honor should never be sacrificed, because the people we choose to honor are often those who help us go further. I learned that defeat is painful. It is bitter, but it shapes our character and prepares us for real life. I also learned that victory is sweet and full of joy, but it can deceive the heart of those who are not grounded in something greater.”
“To everyone who has been by my side throughout this journey, supporting me, believing in me, and cheering me on, regardless of the outcome. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. The Queen of Violence has come to an end. Now, Ariane is ready for a new phase of life. My prayer is that, with every step we take forward, the Lord Jesus Christ will be glorified,” she concluded.
