One of the big beneficiaries of the victory of Justin gaethje against Ilia Topuria in the main fight of UFC White House, Charles of the Bronx He has wasted no time in making clear his intention to share the octagon with the American once again. In an interview with the website 'MMA Fighting' this Wednesday (24), the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) sought to isolate himself as the number one contender, in order to have another opportunity to win the belt in the sport's most populous category.

When mentioning his trip to hostile territory when he was the top name in the division, Charles took the opportunity to express his desire to face his rival on Brazilian soil. The last time a UFC title was contested in Brazil was in May 2024, when Alexandre pantoja overcame Steve Erceg to defend the flyweight title (up to 56,7 kg) in Rio de Janeiro.
“I’m after a title, so I have to go wherever it is. But when I became champion, I had to defend my belt on his territory. So why not in Brazil, or anywhere else in the world? Of course, if it were in Brazil, it would be something magical for me and for the Brazilian fans. But, as I just said, I’m here to fight for the title. It doesn’t matter where it is. Wherever the call comes from, I’ll be there, ready,” he concluded.
