Former interim lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg.), Dustin poirier ended up having problems with the law last Sunday (21). According to the US portal 'TMZ Sports', Diamante was arrested by police in the state of Georgia at 18:38 pm, accused of public drunkenness. Also according to the original publication, the former fighter was released a few hours later, around 22:15 pm.

The infraction is considered minor, but could mean up to a year in jail or a fine. It was not reported what action by the former fighter caused the need for police intervention. It is also unknown whether the American was accompanied at the time of the arrest.
