“I explained it to them, I talked about the illegal strikes. I said the right thing to do is an immediate rematch, and they asked me for a few days. So they'll see what they're going to do soon,” revealed the two-time champion.

The defeat prevented Poatan from achieving an unprecedented feat in the organization. The former middleweight (up to 83,9 kg) and light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) champion from São Paulo was attempting to become the first athlete in UFC history to win titles in three different weight classes.
