Sean O'Malley gave the American fans another reason to celebrate at UFC White House, held this Sunday (14). The former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2 kg) faced Aiemann Zahabi On the card celebrating the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States, he knocked out the Canadian with a resounding left hook in the second round.

With the result, O'Malley achieved his 20th career victory and secured his second consecutive win, moving closer to another opportunity to challenge for the UFC belt. Zahabi, on the other hand, saw his seven-fight winning streak come to an end.

O'Malley controls the fight and finishes it in the second round.

O'Malley started the fight dominating the center of the octagon while pressuring Zahabi. With a longer reach, the American relied on front kicks and straight punches, which initially were blocked by the Canadian's guard. In the final stretch of the first round, after insisting on combinations, 'Sugar' managed to break through his opponent's defense and connect with some strikes, although without great impact.

In the second round, O'Malley maintained control of the distance with jabs, while Zahabi sought to respond with boxing combinations and low kicks, which began to bother the former champion.

In the final stretch of the round, Zahabi tried to surprise with an offensive combination, but ended up being hit by a precise counter punch that knocked him down and resulted in a knockout.
