Jiu-jitsu specialist, Gilbert Durinho He arrived in style at UFC BJJ. At the company's ninth event, held last Thursday (4), in Las Vegas (USA), the veteran shone in his debut and needed just over a minute to finish Horlando Monteiro. Excited by the beautiful victory, the Brazilian announced that he will go after the middleweight belt (up to 83,9 kg) of his new home.
While Durinho bid farewell to MMA on a low note, he returned to his best form in Jiu-Jitsu. At 39 years old, the athlete didn't want to give his opponent any space, quickly taking him down and getting to his back. Comfortable in the fight and the position, the former UFC welterweight (up to 77,1 kg) title challenger applied a rear-naked choke on Horlando, forcing him to tap out. By shining in his debut, the Brazilian has already become one of the main names in UFC BJJ and shows that he is ready to challenge champion Ronaldo Júnior.

In this sport, Durinho built a record of 22 wins and ten losses. His main victories were against Demian Maia, Jorge masvidal, Neil Magny, Stephen Thompson e Tyron woodley.
