The online spat began after a fan tagged Gaethje in a post on X (formerly Twitter) and said that American fighters should boycott the event because of the presence of Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel and a guest of Donald Trump. The commentator, clearly lacking patience, responded sharply.

"I'm an American, bitch. I don't need or want the support of cowards. You and Sean are relentlessly fucking idiots," he snapped.

“If being a spineless coward makes you a good American, you can keep the title. Eat your slop. Just do me a favor and change your flag. It costs 5 to 15 thousand dollars for every working American who doesn't earn millions. 13 Americans killed by Israel… Traitor,” he replied.
