Even in the top category, Bendo needs a towel to make weight in Korea

Former lightweight champion Ben henderson experienced a somewhat surprising situation in the early hours of this Friday (27), at the official weigh-in for UFC Fight Night Korea. Despite fighting in the top category, welterweight, Bendo needed the help of the famous towel and had to weigh himself naked to reach the division's 77 kg limit.

At the time of the fight, however, unlike the moments before the announcement of the fighter's weight, there was no tension. Both Henderson and his opponent in the main fight of the night Jorge masvidal They opted for a calm approach and even exchanged a few words while face to face.

The only Brazilian scheduled for the event, Alberto Miná, born in Paraíba and based in Hong Kong, paid homage to his homeland and went to the weigh-in wearing a typical hat. Even so, Miná drew less attention than her opponent, the always tanned Yoshihiro Akyiama, known as “Sexyama”, who struck bodybuilder-style poses. On the scales, everything was the same for their rivals, who reached 77,6 kg, the limit for the welterweight category with the extra pound of tolerance.
