Last Friday (29), Melquizael Costa He had a rather unpleasant experience. While attending LFA 234, an event held in Cajamar (SP), the athlete encountered... Jean SilvaSince the pair had been exchanging taunts publicly, the encounter was anything but friendly, and the tension was so high that it almost escalated into a fight.
In an interview with the YouTube channel 'Laerte Viana na Área', Melk, always candid, detailed the feud with the bad boy. According to the 'Dalmatian', the beginning of the rivalry with Jean was unusual, as the latter fell for a prank the fans played. When he came face to face with the 'Lord' at LFA, the athlete, perceiving his aggressive posture, was not intimidated and remained firm.
Since he doesn't shy away from a good fight, Melk revealed that he was ready to settle his differences with Jean outside the octagon, but one comment changed everything. Surprised by his rival's explanation and reaction, the 'Dalmatian' mocked him and emphasized that he only acts tough online and barks when he has an audience. According to the athlete, the bad boy needs to understand that those who provoke their opponents have to accept being provoked themselves.

“I thought the trash talk was normal. When I went to LFA, before my fight, he walked by, and I looked, I passed by him several times and stuff. He pretended not to see me. I thought, 'The guy must have taken it personally.' The guy was so crazy that one day they sent me a bunch of messages, 'What did you do to Jean? He's really pissed off talking on the internet.' I said, 'I don't understand,'” said the fighter.
"He was on a live stream, and then someone, a genius, made a fake profile of me and started making fun of him on the live stream. He, thinking it was me, started getting pissed off, grabbing a bunch of videos of Garcia hitting me. The guys said that's what happened on the live stream, that he got angry. I was at home playing video games." I just laugh at this kind of stuff, the level of childishness. Then, against Allen, I talked a lot, saying it would be a knockout, and it went wrong, I got beat up. I went to the LFA, I was going to eat with my son and Jean was there. There was no media, nobody was there.”
“I was going to tell him I was moving up a category. That was the real intention. I did that to him, and when he looked at me, I thought he was going to come up and say, 'You talked too much, screw you.' I thought he was going to come up like that, pissed off. The guy came up to me demanding, 'Yeah, I'm a real man.' I didn't understand either. Then I said, 'Dude, what's up?' He came up with the most absurd thing I've ever seen. His team came to say that I crossed the line. Man, you made a huge fuss with Diego, and then you come and say I crossed the line? Go to hell! That's when I got pissed off.”
“I thought we were going to get into a fight. I said, ‘He’s crazy. Now we’re going to beat each other up here and it’s going to be awesome.’ He was out of his mind. Then he came back and said, ‘Hold my glasses here.’ I had my hand in my pocket when he took my glasses and came at me. I took my hand away and thought, ‘Let’s fight.’ He came up to me and said, ‘Don’t talk to me anymore,’ and left. I said, ‘Oh, shit.’ I started teasing him. Then the coach came to talk to me, ‘You have to understand that you spoke.’ Then I said, ‘What line did I cross? Crazy!’”
“The guy talks a lot of trash about everyone and then says I crossed the line? I started saying, 'Your psychiatrist needs to increase your dosage.' He came into the event and I was fine, but then Satan gives me a nudge. I said, 'I'm going to fight this guy right now.' Go to hell! Inside the event, he started walking by and I stood up to see if he would come at me, so we could beat each other up.”
“'Look at me, you bitch, you bastard. Woof woof.' He didn't want to, but I wanted to fight. I was pissed! I wanted to see if he would really come at me. If he came at me, we would fight. I was provoking him, provoking him to see if he was really crazy, but he's not crazy. He only does that in front of the cameras, but in person, he's not crazy,” she concluded.
