With this result, Xicão, who has nine career wins, suffered his second professional defeat and lost the chance to climb to the top of the heavyweight division, as the Russian occupies the top 3 of the category. On the other hand, Pavlovich defends his third position in the ranking and accumulates his 21st victory, his second consecutive win. He has three losses in his fighting record.

The tension was palpable even before the fight began. The heavyweights exchanged glances, and as soon as the duel started, Pavlovich closed the distance. Xicão tried to use his greater reach and spun around. However, in the first exchange of blows, the Brazilian felt the weight of his opponent's hand.
