A curious scene impressed fans who attended Bellator 146, an event held last week in Thackerville, Oklahoma (USA). In the interval from the first to the second round of their fight, julia budd received a real “slap” from her coach, who was trying to give her instructions for the fight she was fighting against Brazilian Roberta Paim Rovel.
The coach was talking closely to Budd, who wasn't looking very closely. He then slapped his fighter in the face, and shouted “wake up!” From then on, Budd became more attentive to the instructions of her coach, who continued with his recommendations to the fighter.
At least the blow suffered between rounds didn't harm Budd's fight: she won the fight by judges' decision after three rounds. Thus, the Canadian has a record of eight wins and two losses in professional MMA, her setbacks being for UFC fighters Ronda Rousey e Amanda nunes.
