For a long time, MMA fans have wondered what a hypothetical fight between Ronda Rousey and undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather. While she had not yet lost in her career, the American declared several times that she would be able to overcome Mayweather in a mixed martial arts fight. However, “Money’s” father and trainer believes that Ronda’s fight against Holly holm, at UFC 193, in Australia, showed what the confrontation would be like if it got off the ground.

Faced with former boxer Holm, Ronda found it very difficult to impose her game, as the challenger's leg movement prevented her from closing the distance and taking the fight to the ground. After being undermined for more than a round, Ronda lost her unbeaten record in professional MMA when she suffered a knockout in the second round.
Floyd Mayweather Sr declared that the fight between Ronda and his son would unfold in an almost identical manner. “My son would never fight a woman, but if he did, it would have been the same way. If the fight happened, she would never put a hand or foot on Floyd, because that's what that girl [Holm] did. It was very easy for her. She proved what Floyd was saying, and I don’t think Ronda can beat that girl”, said Floyd Sr, in an interview with the “On The Ropes Boxing Radio” podcast.
Furthermore, even without openly criticizing Ronda, Floyd Sr. believes that the defeat suffered in Australia will serve as a lesson in humility for the now former champion. “I think, after all, she will become a better person and will learn to treat people better than she does today,” she said.
