André Dida will be back on the Spaten Fight Night stage, this time far from any trouble. The coach, who was part of the team of Wanderlei Silva and it became known for the episode involving the team of Acelino Popo In the second edition of the event, he/she will be in the corner of Mauritius Shogun for the duel against Glover Teixeira, scheduled for August 29th.
In an interview with ESPN, Dida downplayed the previous incident and emphasized that the new edition of the event represents a completely different context, involving different athletes and circumstances. The coach also assessed that holding another edition of Spaten Fight Night reinforces the isolated nature of the past confusion.
“That was an isolated incident, a different situation. Glover and Shogun are a different story. I believe Spaten will hold the event again precisely to show that it was a very specific event,” said André Dida.

Spaten Fight Night is back, this time with a heavyweight duel between former UFC champions. After delighting the Brazilian public with the reunion between Anderson Silva e Chael Sonnenin addition to the war between Wanderlei Silva e Acelino Popo, the event is in its third edition with Glover Teixeira, 46 years old, facing Mauritius ShogunOf 44.
The clash between the former UFC champions will be fought under boxing rules, in eight two-minute rounds.
