“I think it’s really cool, because Moicano is a showman. And he’s mixing the event with a lot of entertainment, drawing attention to MMA,” said the jiu-jitsu and MMA legend in a conversation with reporter Renan Campos.

Demian's fighters in MMA

Demian Maia, 48 years old, is a legend in Jiu-Jitsu and MMA. After making his mark in the gentle art, the Brazilian began his career in mixed martial arts in 2001, debuted in the UFC in 2007 and had his last fight in 2021. With the organization, the athlete competed for the welterweight (up to 77,1 kg) and middleweight (up to 83,9 kg) titles.

In sports, Demian built a record of 28 wins and 11 losses. His main victories were over Ben Askren, Chael Sonnen, Carlos Condit, Dong Hyun Kim, Gunnar nelson, Jon Fitch, Jorge masvidal, Matt Brown and Neil Magny.
