In less than a month, Conor McGregor finally have the chance to challenge José Aldo for the hegemony of the UFC featherweight division. Even with the long wait for the fight, the Irishman says he is more prepared than ever to take down the Brazilian, and predicts that he will need less than a full round to achieve the long-awaited victory.

Originally, McGregor and Aldo were going to face each other in July, but the Brazilian was injured at the last minute and was unable to participate in the fight. Since then, the Irishman has remained in the spotlight with several controversial statements, but guarantees that he will fulfill his promises next month.

“I'm hungry now. I'm prepared to kill this guy and unify the belts. After that, what will they say? What will they say after José falls? José is number one pound for pound, so let’s see what they say after José succumbs in the first round”, commented McGregor, in an interview with the YouTube channel “Severe MMA”.

UFC president Dana White has already promised that McGregor will make his first title defense at the Croke Park stadium in Dublin (Ireland) if he overcomes Aldo. The fighter himself, on the other hand, is cautious about the possibility, as he considers that his recent success at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas, will prevent him from fighting in other places.

“I’ll believe Croke Park when I see it. In July, in Las Vegas, the Irish fans and I gave $200 million at the box office to that city. I will only believe in Croke Park when I see it. They say a lot of things, but I feel like I might be 'stuck' with MGM for a while. I feel like MGM wants me all the time for what we bring”, added the fighter.

The duel between Aldo and McGregor will be the main fight of UFC 194, on December 12th. On the same night, there will be another title fight: Chris Weidman faces Luke Rockhold for the middleweight title.
