Daniel Willycat lived a night of 'heaven to hell' in ufc vegas 117, held this Saturday (16). The Brazilian faced Hall of Famer Dooho Choi in the co-main event and, despite putting pressure on in the first round and coming close to a knockout, ended up tiring and being knocked out in the second round.
With the defeat, the Brazilian suffered his second loss in the UFC and saw his streak of three consecutive victories come to an end. The South Korean, on the other hand, achieved his sixth victory in the organization and extended his winning streak to four.
Daniel Willycat starts aggressively but ends up knocked out with a blow to the waistline.
Daniel Willycat The fight began aggressively, in true Chute Boxe style. The Brazilian landed a powerful kick that sent his opponent back, followed by punches that rocked the South Korean, who could barely keep up with the speed. He then attempted a flying knee, but was surprised by a right cross from Choi. Even so, he continued advancing and unleashing combinations that exploded against his opponent's guard and face.
In the second round, Willycat returned with the same intensity, pressing and looking for crosses, but this time Choi defended better. Midway through the round, the Brazilian tried to change strategy and focus on grappling, but couldn't secure a takedown and was forced to return to striking.
As time passed, fatigue became evident. Dooho Choi, now fresher, began to land more powerful blows. Sensing his opponent's weakness, the South Korean opted for a body hook that dropped the Brazilian and paved the way for the knockout.
