Aline Pereira defeated Jade Masson-Wong by split decision on Saturday (16), in a fight valid for the catchweight (up to 58,9 kg) in the MMA event broadcast by Netflix. Sister of Alex PoatánA multi-time UFC champion, the Brazilian fought a balanced three-round battle and came out on top on the scorecards after withstanding her opponent's pressure in the final moments of the fight.

For much of the fight, Aline relied on long-range kicks and a more cautious stance, waiting for the ideal moment to attack. Jade Masson-Wong, on the other hand, tried to constantly pressure the Brazilian, mainly by advancing with combinations of punches and close-range strikes.

The fight took a dramatic turn when Masson-Wong managed to take Aline down in the final 30 seconds of the second round. Her opponent tried to capitalize on the moment on the ground, but the Brazilian showed resilience and managed to get back to her feet in the final moments of the round, avoiding further problems before the bell rang.

More confident after her previous good performance, Jade started the third round better, connecting with long-range strikes while Aline struggled to find clean attacks. The Brazilian even tried to pressure her opponent against the cage in the final seconds, but ended up slipping after missing a cross.

Despite this, the judges awarded the victory to Aline Pereira by split decision, with scores of 29-28, 27-30 and 29-28. With this result, the Brazilian now has three wins and two losses in her professional record.

Brandon Jenkins defeats Chris Avila by split decision.

Brandon Jenkins prevailed over Chris Avila in Netflix's first MMA event. In a catchweight bout (up to 74,8 kg), the two athletes engaged in an intense striking battle throughout the three rounds.

Without resorting to grappling at virtually any point, Avila and Jenkins moved forward the entire time, relying on combinations of punches and kicks. After 15 minutes of stand-up action, Brandon Jenkins emerged victorious by split decision.

With this result, Jenkins now has 18 wins and 12 losses in his professional record. On the other side, Chris Avila now has eight wins and ten losses in his career.

Young prospect David Mgoyan surprises Albert Morales and wins on the preliminary card.

Although the spotlight was on the stars of the main card, 21-year-old David Mgoyan managed to steal some of the attention. The young Armenian faced Albert Morales on the preliminary card and, after a busy initial striking exchange, surprised his opponent with a grappling match to secure a unanimous decision victory.

With the victory, Mgoyan achieved his eighth career win. Morales, on the other hand, suffered his 11th defeat in 30 fights.
